Living With a Man

I know that men will say this about women, but this blog is more about men, so I can say what I want about them. Sometimes they aren’t the brightest when they think they are making an educated statement.

My husband and I really like my recipe for nachoes. I call it my recipe, but I’m sure someone else has already made it up. Here, I’ll share it with you:

1 can campbells fiesta cheese soup
1 can campbells cheddar cheese soup
1 can green chilies
Some browned hamburger
Black olives
Maybe some salsa… you get the picture, it’s really a little different every time, but pretty darn good. Because we just got married, we have to get use to a new grocery store. I hate going to new places, it takes so long to find everything you need. There we were, standing in the soup isle, just staring at all the kinds of soups. We found the cheddar cheese we needed, but we couldn’t find the fiesta cheese. I kept repeating over and over “Where is it? Where could it be?” My husbands profound response? “Well, they are either going to have them together…. or… apart.” He didn’t realize what he said until he had already said it.

I tease him about it often. I’ve grown to love the phrase. He asked me the other day, “Where are my shoes?” I said,” Well, they’re either going to be together… or… apart.”  It’s a good thing he hadn’t found either of them yet, because I’m pretty sure one would have been thrown at me. :) 

There are women jokes, blonde jokes, all sorts of jokes, but I tip my glass to the man.
