Living With a Man

Okay ladies, this is the begginning of the blog you will all soon love. Let’s admit it, women need other women to survive. I wanted to start this blog as a spot for people to vent in a humorous way with other women about the men in our lives. Sometimes, there are just some things I know I don’t get.

Let’s start with the laundry. As we all know, there are the books of Mars and Venus, but does anyone seriously get the humor of living with a man? I just got married and oh my goodness, I knew there were going to be differences in the way we do things, but some of the differences in the way we think are quite humorous.  

As a newlywed, of course we are all helping and sharing. One of my first experiences in the differences in thought flabbergasts me to the day. I was in the bedroom gathering laundry and sweetly asked my adoring husband to start the washer for me. I go to put the huge pile into the now full washer to realize, there was no soap. “Honey?” I say, “Why didn’t you put the soap in? Are we out?” His response, “You only asked me to start the washer, I didn’t know you wanted soap too.”  

As a woman, and I know most other women agree, I assumed that it was part of the process. I know there are some of you out there with those things that just make you want to say, “What?” Let’s talk about it! It will be fun!
